Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering product questions
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold and respond to inquiries and make suggestions
- Offer product samples and prepare bakery items including wedding cakes per customer requests
- Recommend bakery products to ensure customer satisfaction
- Check product quality to ensure freshness and take appropriate actions
- Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and cookies
- Label, stock, sign, and inventory merchandise
- Report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Maintain awareness of store layout and product locations
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies
- Reinforce safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of repair needs
- Report safety risks, illegal activities, and accidents
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
