Job Duties
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
- assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
- monitor all established quality assurance standards
- answer questions regarding products and make suggestions to customers
- prepare bakery items including wedding cakes using proper equipment
- decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and cookies
- label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise
- check product quality and review sell-by dates
- report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
- adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
- maintain safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
- perform preventive maintenance on bakery equipment
- report safety risks, illegal activity, and accidents to management
