Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering product questions
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of counter, cases, and coolers continuously
- Observe scheduled shift operating hours
- Meet the day's production goals for baked goods
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
- Plan and organize development plans including goal setting and prioritizing tasks
- Assist with receiving and unloading merchandise and supplies
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold and make suggestions
- Prepare special orders per customer requests
- Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen tools
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality for freshness and take appropriate action
- Properly use kitchen equipment including proof-box, stove, and scale
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise
- Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Understand store layout to locate products for customers
- Stay current with ads and promotions
- Monitor inventory and report discrepancies
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance and report repair needs
- Notify management of accidents and safety risks
- Report illegal activity including robbery, theft, or fraud
- Ensure compliance with merchandising, labor, expense, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, and engagement rules
