Job Duties
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return
- Assist department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
- Monitor all established quality assurance standards
- Embrace and promote Customer 1st strategy among associates
- Demonstrate company core values including respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples and inform customers of bakery specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment according to guidelines
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality and review sell-by dates
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Display a positive attitude and effective communication
- Understand store layout for locating products
- Stay current with ads and inventory conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs
- Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Practice preventive maintenance of equipment
- Notify management of accidents, safety risks, and illegal activities
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
