Job Duties

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
  • establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return
  • assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
  • monitor all established quality assurance standards
  • embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
  • provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
  • recommend bakery items to customers to meet their needs
  • use all bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
  • check product quality and freshness
  • adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs
  • reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
  • report product ordering, shipping discrepancies and customer or employee accidents
  • practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment
  • communicate effectively and display a positive attitude
  • stay current with store layouts, ads, and inventory conditions
  • promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment for customers
