Job Requirements

  • High school completion or GED certification
  • less than 12 months of hands-on involvement in baking, pastry, or kitchen-related activities
  • able to maintain a standing position, walk, or sit for long periods
  • able to maneuver, transfer, shove, or haul weights up to 25 lbs without support
  • able to perform movements involving bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching above and below the knees
  • able to work on slippery or irregular terrains, including ramps and staircases

Job Qualifications

  • High school completion or GED certification
  • less than 12 months of hands-on involvement in baking, pastry, or kitchen-related activities
  • no licenses or certifications required
  • supervisory experience is not required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked goods as per standardized recipes and presentation norms
  • measure out, combine, portion, and get ready the components for the daily baking tasks
  • safely manage and maintain baking machinery and equipment in good condition
  • monitor the functioning of ovens and kitchen instruments to verify the right cooking durations and heat levels
  • observe food safety and sanitation policies, which encompass proper food storage, personal cleanliness, and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • adhere to kitchen guidelines for workstation setup and breakdown
  • make sure that each batch prepared during the shift meets the required standards of food quality and consistency
