Job Requirements

  • Wears protective gear including gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, hearing protection, hairnets, beard nets
  • able to see, read, and understand receipts and measurements
  • able to work in an industrial facility with large machinery, temperature variations, sound, odors, humidity, and elevations
  • experienced with operation of equipment such as computers, mixers, ovens, grinders, conveyors, and pallet jacks
  • able to work in hot environments with steam and vapors
  • can stand for long periods
  • able to repeatedly lift dough and pan sheets up to 5 lbs
  • able to continuously lift or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally over 50 lbs with assistance
  • able to safely pull or push full baking racks
  • able to perform frequent physical activities including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and squatting
  • able to sit, stand, and walk during an 8 to 10 hour shift
  • possesses specific vision abilities for close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • able to hear and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours

Job Duties

  • Adheres to and exemplifies behaviors aligned with company core values
  • fosters teamwork and collaboration among team members
  • follows departmental directions and adheres to all product specifications, HACCP, GMPs, food safety, and quality programs
  • operates production equipment safely following recommended controls
  • controls line speeds, production rates, and product quality/safety
  • monitors continuous production line and adjusts product weight as needed
  • accurately measures, portions, and weighs ingredients
  • checks quality of products, raw ingredients, and materials
  • stages ingredients appropriately and stores them in proper temperature environments
  • sets up and pre-runs equipment ensuring proper production start-up
  • performs minor repairs
  • ensures continuous flow of product line and corrects problems
  • assists in unloading, loading, and transfer of baking pan sheets
  • documents ingredient batches in the WMS system
  • performs cycle counts and reports discrepancies
  • follows thawing procedures for eggs and butter
  • preserves shelf life of ingredients using proper storage and rotation
  • cuts dough to form shapes on baking sheets
  • organizes racks in oven areas
  • monitors and adjusts product baking color and temperature
  • maintains organized and sanitary production area
  • assists in cleaning and maintenance of lines
  • follows opening and closing procedures including sanitation and securing area
  • attends daily group huddles
  • participates in all production aspects and acts as break relief
  • performs other duties as assigned
