Job Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 pounds
ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours per 8-hour shift
ability in hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
ability to work in wet and dry conditions
ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
may require use of ladders
no prior retail experience required

Job Duties

Ensure a fresh and appealing bakery display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas
monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisors
maintain back stock in good order
assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
assist with periodic inventory checks
arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising bakery products
follow and comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and ensure maintenance of equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards
perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
immediately report safety hazards and violations
perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
