Job Requirements

No prior retail experience required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Able to stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
Hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
Exposure to temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit
Capable of working in wet and dry conditions
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Able to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery
May require use of ladders

Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
Proactively reads labels and familiarizes with various products

Job Duties

Ensures fresh and appealing displays by cleaning, front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date bakery products
Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas
Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisors
Maintains back stock in good order
Assists with sampling programs by keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing
Assists with periodic inventory checks
Arrives on time, appropriately groomed and dressed, works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly and effectively, and uses suggestive selling techniques
Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
Follows and ensures compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and Weights and Measures procedures
Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and equipment according to standards
Performs opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring pricing and signage accuracy
Immediately reports safety hazards and violations
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
