Job Requirements
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures below freezing, refrigerator temperatures, and temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

- ability to sell proactively
- ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department
- ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
- proactive reading of labels and familiarization with various products

Job Duties
- ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
- stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas
- monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisor
- maintain back stock in good order
- assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
- assist with periodic inventory checks
- arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
- maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follow and comply, or ensure compliance, with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintain, or ensure maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- immediately report safety hazards and violations
- perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
