Job Requirements
- Retail work experience or store leader recommendation
- at least 18 years of age
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work flexible hours
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- understanding of safety regulations
- strong leadership capabilities
- reliable attendance
- certification or licensing as required by department
- no travel required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- successful performance as a peer trainer or in similar roles
- demonstrated product knowledge relevant to bakery department
- ability to coach and develop team members
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- proven problem-solving abilities
- familiarity with safety and compliance standards
- ability to analyze financial reports and operational data
Job Duties
- Interview, select and train Team Members
- direct the work of Team Members
- appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotion recommendations
- handle Team Member issues including complaints
- discipline Team Members
- plan the work schedule
- distribute or assign work among Team Members
- provide for the safety and security of Team Members and store
- manage the department budget
- manage inventory
- monitor or implement compliance measures
- direct, oversee, and evaluate training to reduce turnover and control labor costs
- provide motivational leadership focusing on respect and exemplary behavior
- identify team strengths and scheduling opportunities
- develop future leaders and promote team members
- nurture an environment of inclusion and diversity
- maintain safety as the top priority
- inspire the team and guests with a passion for food
- set and reach sales and profit goals managing shrink
- establish ongoing communication with the team
- communicate promotions to Team Members and guests
- make innovative business improvement plans
- review and analyze financial and operational reports
