Job Requirements

Physical exam and lift test required
Moderate physical effort handling medium weight objects (20-50 lbs)
Ability to climb and work from ladders or awkward positions
Willingness to work in variable temperature and wet environments
Ability to lift 50 lbs to waist and carry loads regularly
Use proper ergonomic and lifting techniques
Must be a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding a current temple recommend

Job Qualifications

A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
1+ year full-time equivalent bakery production experience
Preferred: 3+ years full-time equivalent bakery production experience
Culinary certification or degree from accredited culinary school

Job Duties

Learn standard bakery procedures
Produce bread, bagels, doughs, and other baked goods for the campus dining operations
Complete training and food safety courses per CSC requirements
Clean and sanitize bakery equipment and preparation surfaces
Supervise part-time and student employees
Help with production and/or icing of Cougartails during football season or as needed
