Job Requirements
- Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to perform bakery tasks including mixing, baking, decorating, and customer service
- Willingness to learn and operate equipment such as power jacks after training
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment
- Flexibility to assist other departments as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) completed or in progress
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without accommodation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic cake decorating skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely after training
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to follow health and safety guidelines
Job Duties
- Keep bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand
- Smile and greet customers and make product suggestions
- Answer questions about bakery products and preparation
- Resolve customer concerns courteously and promptly
- Mix, shape, proof, and bake breads, rolls, sweet goods, and cakes
- Fill donuts, place in frying oil, flip, and remove for cooling
- Decorate cakes using basic and custom designs
- Trim and cut cakes to required specifications
- Take customer orders with a pleasant attitude
- Assist with filling, wrapping, pricing, stocking, and merchandising the bakery sales area
- Remove expired products and rotate inventory to ensure freshness
- Operate power jack or hand jack for deliveries if trained
- Assist with baling cardboard if trained
- Maintain sanitation standards and follow cleaning schedules
- Dispose of trash properly
- Cooperate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department function
- Use company provided personal protective equipment including cut-resistant gloves and safety footwear
- Assist in other departments as needed
