Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in bakery or retail food service preferred
- valid Food Handler's Permit
- ability to operate bakery equipment
- strong communication skills
- ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- willingness to follow all safety and hygiene guidelines

- Ability to operate bakery machinery including label machines, ovens, and proof boxes
- current Food Handler's Permit

Job Duties
- Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
- ensure the quality and freshness of all bakery products and services
- maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels
- confirm pricing accuracy and signage
- ensure the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily
- assist customers with cake and special orders
- wash and put away bowls, pans, and baking trays
- deliver excellent customer service
- accurately package and label products
- fill shelves and cases with products
- restock the bakery department and help sort bakery products during deliveries
- minimize waste by following production sheets and rotating products
- assist managers, bakers, cake decorators, and artisan bakers as needed
- mix and scoop cookies
- proof and bake items
- assist customers by writing on cakes
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
