Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
- valid State Food Handlers Permit
- valid Driver's License or State ID
- ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly
- physical ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, smell, talk, and hear
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- availability to report for assigned shifts on time
- adherence to safety and food handling regulations
- willingness to participate in training and maintain workplace safety standards
- ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
- effective and pleasant communication skills with guests, vendors, and associates
- mathematical skills involving American money, weight, and volume measurement
- common sense reasoning to carry out written and oral instructions
- meets state minimum requirements to operate bakery equipment like slicers
- valid State Food Handlers Permit
- valid Driver's License or State ID
- completion of provided training programs including active shooter, bakery skills, food handler's safety, HIPAA, late night retail safety, safety orientation, and guest service training
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and regularly
- communicating clearly and demonstrating physical abilities to safely perform tasks
- promoting sales through active guest engagement, product recommendations, and discussing promotions
- providing exceptional service including greeting guests, informing about specials, and offering product samples
- mentoring new associates and fostering a positive learning environment
- performing bakery tasks such as finishing par-bake products, labeling, dating, rotating, and decorating for seasonal promotions
- operating bakery equipment safely including ovens, doughnut fryers, slicers, and dishwashers
- completing special order requests accurately and promptly
- ensuring compliance with all safety, food handling, and workplace policies
- participating in accident reduction and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
