Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly with guests and associates
- Capability to perform physical tasks including standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Valid State Food Handlers Permit
- Valid Driver's License or State ID Card
- Ability to safely operate bakery equipment
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training
- Ability to work assigned shifts consistently and punctually
- Physical ability to tolerate exposure to bakery environment including noise, heat, cold, and airborne particles
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Writes simple correspondence
- Communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors and fellow associates
- Performs mathematical skills using units of American money, weight measurement, and volume
- Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Meets state minimum requirement to work with bakery slicers or equipment
- Valid State Food Handlers Permit
- Valid Driver's License or State ID Card
- Completion of Yoke's provided training including Bakery Skills Training levels One, Two, and Three, Food Handler's Safety Training, HIPAA Training, Safety Orientation Training, and Guest Service Training
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and prepared to provide excellent service
- Promoting sales through active discussions with guests, offering product recommendations, samples, and discussing current promotions
- Providing exceptional service by greeting guests and informing them of specials, product information, and bakery services
- Mentoring new associates to ensure a positive learning environment
- Performing bakery-specific tasks such as finishing par-bake products, labeling, dating, rotating, and decorating for promotions
- Operating bakery equipment safely, including com-line, phone, scales, shrink wrapper, sheeter, doughnut fryer, bread slicer, dishwasher, and ovens
- Communicating and completing guests' special order requests accurately and timely
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and company safety and food handling regulations
- Participating in safety efforts including accident reduction, sanitizing, and equipment maintenance
