Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work shifts on time and regularly
- Effective communication skills
- Physical capability to perform necessary lifting and standing tasks
- Knowledge of workplace safety and food handling safety
- Valid food handler's permit
- Valid driver's license or state ID
- Willingness to participate in training and adhere to company policies
- Ability to cooperate well with team members
- Ability to handle equipment safely and follow instructions
- No direct threat to health and safety by unsafe behaviors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reads and comprehends simple instructions and memos
- Writes simple correspondence
- Communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests and team members
- Performs mathematical skills with units of money and measurements
- Applies common sense to carry out instructions
- Meets state requirements for working with bakery equipment
- Holds valid state food handler's permit
- Holds valid driver's license or state ID
- Completed Yoke's bakery, safety, and guest service training programs
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and regularly
- Communicating clearly and demonstrating suitable physical abilities to safely perform tasks
- Promoting sales through active discussions with guests by offering recommendations and samples
- Providing exceptional service including greeting guests and informing them of specials
- Mentoring new associates to assure a positive learning environment
- Operating bakery equipment safely such as ovens, sheeters, slicers, and fryers
- Completing guest special orders with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensuring work complies with food safety and workplace safety regulations
- Participating in accident reduction and sanitation efforts
- Maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards
