Job Requirements

  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • hand use includes single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of artisan breads and pastries, including cake decorating
  • demonstrates positive attitude, energy, and passion for baking the best breads and pastries
  • basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • produces quality breads and pastries
  • produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars
  • performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products
  • stocks dry products
  • develops new recipes and production techniques to ensure seasonal variance and high productivity
  • trains production personnel to the highest standards in industry
  • performs production planning and forecasting for special events and holidays
