Job Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching) and have excellent manual dexterity
  • Exemplifies health department standards
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Job Qualifications

  • Proven artistic skills in a production environment
  • Deep knowledge and interest in patisserie, cake decorating techniques and food culture
  • Working knowledge of all bakery service areas and equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Understands and upholds ready for business standards
  • Performance oriented, conscientious and thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Must be a positive team player, have a willingness to learn new things and effectively manage through change
  • Ability to train others in decorating and patisserie handling and product management
  • Demonstrates effective organization and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, product rotation, forecasting and ordering practices
  • Must possess an attitude of service to others
  • Demonstrates self-discipline and accountability
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and trust with a diverse group of staff, customers, and vendors

Job Duties

  • Works in bakery production kitchen specifically assigned to the decorating of cakes and patisserie items
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, customers, corporate staff and vendor community
  • Provides and role models excellent customer service
  • Ensures the adherence to Ready for Business standards throughout the kitchen
  • Assists in the training and development of employees
  • Establishes and maintains a 360-feedback process including customers, staff and leadership
  • Maintains the integrity of our brand and marketing expressions
  • Maintains department in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
  • Ensures food service compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Demonstrates attitude of service to staff and customers
  • Keeps up on industry trends, standards, and changes
  • Supports and follows all company and department policies
  • Supports and follows all safety/security policies and sustainability programs
  • Operates within the Company’s Core Values and Company Brand
