Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in bakery production
- food safe certification required
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays
- good physical stamina
- good communication skills
- knowledge of workplace health, safety and hygiene
- ability to follow safety protocols
- able to operate bakery equipment and tools
- able to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production area
Job Qualifications
- Experience in making bakery products including dough mixing, cutting, rolling, forming, filling, shaping, and slicing
- knowledge of preparing various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards
- food safe certification
- good communication skills
- ability to speak English
- familiarity with tools and equipment relevant to bakery production
- good organization and problem-solving skills
- team player
- flexibility to work shifts
- bilingual ability in Cantonese or Mandarin an asset
Job Duties
- Produce the correct quantity of assigned products based on orders received
- perform production duties such as dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, and slicing
- prepare various fillings including fruits, meat, paste, and custards
- control fermentation and baking times and monitor temperatures of cooler and oven
- decorate bread, cake, or other pastries
- control product quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage
- maintain cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance, and workplace safety in the production area
- respond to customers inquiries
