Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of production experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to operate processing and baking machinery safely and efficiently
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and batch sheets accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime when required
  • Comfortable working in environments with moving mechanical parts, heat, humidity, and occasional exposure to chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of production experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating with team members and leadership
  • CPT (Certified Production Technician) certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Operates processing and baking equipment to produce high-quality products within quality assurance guidelines
  • Mixes ingredients properly and monitors temperature and moisture levels adjusting as needed
  • Operates and shuts down equipment according to established procedures including change overs and preventative maintenance
  • Communicates quality issues to team members and escalates when necessary
  • Reads and follows batch sheets, recipes, and accurately weighs raw materials
  • Monitors and logs temperatures, mix times, item numbers, and raw material weights, making adjustments as necessary
  • Follows sanitation procedures including chemical handling and tracks waste disposal
  • Moves raw ingredients using material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Maintains proper raw material levels and communicates needs with appropriate personnel
  • Monitors seasoning coverage and adjusts as required
  • Adheres to safety and hygiene guidelines, keeps work area clean, and reports defective equipment and job-related injuries
  • May perform additional duties as needed
  • Works mandatory overtime when required
