Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of production experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate processing and baking machinery safely and efficiently
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and batch sheets accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work mandatory overtime when required
- Comfortable working in environments with moving mechanical parts, heat, humidity, and occasional exposure to chemicals
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of production experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic mechanical ability
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating with team members and leadership
- CPT (Certified Production Technician) certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Operates processing and baking equipment to produce high-quality products within quality assurance guidelines
- Mixes ingredients properly and monitors temperature and moisture levels adjusting as needed
- Operates and shuts down equipment according to established procedures including change overs and preventative maintenance
- Communicates quality issues to team members and escalates when necessary
- Reads and follows batch sheets, recipes, and accurately weighs raw materials
- Monitors and logs temperatures, mix times, item numbers, and raw material weights, making adjustments as necessary
- Follows sanitation procedures including chemical handling and tracks waste disposal
- Moves raw ingredients using material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintains proper raw material levels and communicates needs with appropriate personnel
- Monitors seasoning coverage and adjusts as required
- Adheres to safety and hygiene guidelines, keeps work area clean, and reports defective equipment and job-related injuries
- May perform additional duties as needed
- Works mandatory overtime when required
