Job Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake bakery goods following handling instructions
- Capable of unpacking and displaying bakery products according to production charts
- Skilled in packaging baked goods and decorating special orders
- Understanding of food safety, freshness, and product handling policies
- Able to inspect and store bakery shipments properly
- Competent in cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment and fixtures
- Strong customer service skills including answering member inquiries and taking orders
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Willingness to perform additional duties as needed including working in other departments
- Physical stamina to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and assist with heavier items
- Ability to work a part-time schedule mainly afternoons and evenings from Monday to Thursday and Saturdays
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive work environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information using ovens and or other equipment
- Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations including safe handling and storage instructions
- Packages freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes and other items as needed
- Decorates special order or case product
- Rotates and stores bakery products following proper work methods on food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery including ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, and tables
- Answers member questions and takes special orders
- Maintains all club policies and procedures
- Generates labels and price tickets for bakery goods and performs price check functions when necessary
- Operates and handles bakery equipment using proper work methods in accordance with safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed
- Ensures regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job
