Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously during shift
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous baking experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Customer service and retail experience desirable

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly service-oriented manner
  • Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully stocked cases
  • Support team with baking various breads cookies and desserts including pan dulce
  • Possess knowledge of basic baked products cakes breads cookies pan dulce special order cakes and standard baking production equipment ability to perform advanced baking methods and multitask
  • Effectively communicate with management and baking team to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guests or employees
  • Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure proper levels
  • Maintain quality cleanliness organization customer service safety loss prevention sanitation department conditions and food safety standards
  • Stock fill face and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • Work with bakery equipment including heat sources mixers and blenders
  • Take food orders in person and by telephone
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
