Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk continuously during shift
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Previous baking experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Customer service and retail experience desirable
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly service-oriented manner
- Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully stocked cases
- Support team with baking various breads cookies and desserts including pan dulce
- Possess knowledge of basic baked products cakes breads cookies pan dulce special order cakes and standard baking production equipment ability to perform advanced baking methods and multitask
- Effectively communicate with management and baking team to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guests or employees
- Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure proper levels
- Maintain quality cleanliness organization customer service safety loss prevention sanitation department conditions and food safety standards
- Stock fill face and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Work with bakery equipment including heat sources mixers and blenders
- Take food orders in person and by telephone
- Perform all other duties as assigned
