Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current California food handler manager certification
  • Three years prior food service experience in a supervisory or lead position and/or Associates degree
  • Three years prior experience hiring, training, managing, motivating and developing food service employees
  • Demonstrated ability to positively affect sales and profits

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in scheduling, planning, human resource support, leadership techniques, production methods and technology integration
  • Good computer skills including inventory management and timekeeping software
  • Ability to give clear instructions and supervise staff effectively
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively train and develop employees

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates and trains on ACT (attentive, cheerful and timely) service standards to build sales
  • Communicate, cooperate and respond in a timely and professional manner with team members
  • Evaluate and manage crew quality and performance during shift
  • Open and/or close bakery in a timely manner using process outlined in operations manual
  • Uphold company mission and values
  • Train crew members and management on ACT service standards
  • Train crew members and management on all aspects of job requirements including the PACE system
  • Train crew members and management on bakery cleanliness
  • Manage and conduct new crew member orientation and new product training
  • Conduct routine crew and management meetings
  • Follow bakery cleaning and maintenance schedule including repair troubleshooting, reporting and resolution
  • Understand and follow procedures required by the Health Department including resolving violations immediately
  • Manage production, labor and food/beverage costs through inventory management, schedules, reports and flow charts
  • Manage labor costs by evaluating labor versus projected sales weekly
  • Follow company cash control and security policy including accuracy and timeliness
  • Comply with all federal and state labor and hiring laws including proper I-9 identification and record keeping
  • Develop staff plan for recruitment and effective crew staffing schedules
  • Manage and coach crew member development for improved performance
  • Conduct crew and manager reviews in a timely manner
  • Accomplish all management duties timely
  • Obtain and maintain required training/certifications
  • Follow all safety procedures and report incidents immediately
  • Follow all established company policies and procedures
