Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 plus years of leadership experience
  • certified bakery expert or equivalent preferred
  • completion of H-E-B School of Retail Management training within the program timeline
  • food safety certification
  • forklift or power jack training
  • ability to stand and lift 50 pounds
  • capability to work in varying temperature environments including cooler and extreme heat
  • ability to work extended hours including weekends and nights
  • strong organizational, communication, and planning skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • effective delegation skills

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Bakery Expert or equivalent preferred
  • completion of H-E-B School of Retail Management training
  • 3 plus years of leadership experience
  • food safety certification
  • forklift or power jack training
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • proficiency with MS Office and H-E-B systems
  • advanced leadership and analytical skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coach bakery department Partners
  • manage employment-related decisions including hiring and disciplinary actions
  • prepare work schedules and control inventory
  • develop and implement production plans to ensure product availability
  • drive sales through merchandising and maintaining product variety
  • monitor and maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • manage shrink control and department budgeting
