Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of 2 years retail grocery experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Able to operate bakery equipment
- Able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously
- Able to transfer items up to 40 lbs without assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Possess working knowledge of personnel and financial reports.

- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Able to stand for extended periods and transfer items weighing up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
Job Duties
- Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
- Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency
- track inventory and manage the bakery's budget
- Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop improved practices and procedures
- Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Manage department inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards
- Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit
- Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
- Make recommendations on merit increases via performance review process
- Regularly attend and participate at in-store meetings
- Recruit, hire and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
- Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns
- Take and document corrective actions including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination when needed
- Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels
- Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
- Lead a team to deliver the finest quality product and highest level of service
- Serve as a Key Carrier and/or Manager on Duty as needed.
