Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bakery or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage staff and schedule effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness standards
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Compliance with company grooming and uniform policies

  • Ability to operate mixers, ovens, bread slicer and other baking equipment

Job Duties

  • Provide high-quality customer service in accordance with company standards and policies
  • Oversee operations and staffing for the bakery department
  • Plan daily and weekly production and staff assignments and scheduling
  • Supervise bakery staff and provide staff training
  • Monitor quality of goods and services
  • Maintain cleanliness of bakery area including display cases and work surfaces
  • Maintain area and conduct business following all food safety and employee safety regulations
  • Inform customers about bakery products and promote sales
  • Take bakery orders over telephone or in person
  • Maintain accurate inventory and record keeping
  • Measure ingredients to prepare batters, dough, fillings, and icings
  • Operate mixers, ovens, and baking equipment
  • Shape dough and related products preparatory to baking
  • Bake and transfer baked goods to display area
  • Read and follow recipes and instructions
  • Order ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Suggest changes to inventory and pricing
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming policies
