Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in bakery operations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to train and motivate staff
- Competence in maintaining department records
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Experience in bakery management or supervision
- Knowledge of bakery production including mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying and finishing
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to manage budgets and control inventory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with merchandising and sales strategies
- Proficiency in planning and coordinating work schedules
Job Duties
- Exhibit and develop maximum customer and vendor relations through a friendly and courteous behavior
- Promote a high level of morale within department and store utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication
- Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with objective of improved sales storewide
- Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Bakery Department
- Know and have the ability to cost out all material to determine proper retails
- Know and have the ability to do a master production sheet
- Aid in the development and growth of all department personnel by insuring regular implementation of company training, evaluation, and counseling procedures
