Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and pull up to 250 lbs
- Willingness to work varied shifts
- Knowledge of USDA, COOL, and DOA regulations
- Adherence to company safety and wage hour policies
- Ability to use personal protective equipment
- Willingness to work in varied temperature environments including cold and hot conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 3 - 6 years relevant experience in a bakery or retail supervisory role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and perform basic baking and cake decorating
- Proficient in computer applications related to department operations
- Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
- Basic math skills
Job Duties
- Manage daily bakery operations including product preparation and merchandising
- Ensure product freshness, quality, and availability on shelves
- Supervise, train, and coach bakery staff
- Develop schedules and assign tasks to meet customer volume
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor inventory, perform ordering and stock control to minimize shrink
- Handle product recalls and ensure proper documentation of safety logs
