Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality or food service industries
  • Foodservice safety training certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience managing teams, business operations and guest experience in retail, hospitality or food service
  • Demonstrated success in hiring and developing teams and achieving financial objectives
  • Experience creating productivity goals, inventory par levels and team schedules
  • Foodservice safety training certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Understanding of retail math and P&L principles
  • Ability to interpret and analyze business and financial data

Job Duties

  • Prioritizes the guest experience, models superior guest engagement and fosters a positive work environment
  • Recruits and selects talent and ensures performance expectations are clearly communicated and proper training is provided
  • Engages frequently with team members to gain insight into workload and progress, addresses challenges and courses corrects as needed
  • Provides continuous coaching, delivers constructive feedback, conducts quarterly reviews and addresses performance issues timely
  • Assigns specific responsibilities to Assistant Manager to support bakery leadership
  • Identifies future leaders and cross-trains team members for capability building and bakery coverage
  • Maintains hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles and steps in as needed to perform various responsibilities
  • Facilitates bakery opening and closing including cash-drawer balancing and bank deposits
  • Manages special-order fulfillment for guests and corporate accounts including large orders and deliveries
  • Creates and communicates weekly sales goals, production plan and team schedules adjusting for business trends
  • Sets inventory par levels, monitors stock, processes supply orders and conducts monthly inventory
  • Ensures product, service, bakery environment and merchandising standards are consistently upheld and maintains food and health safety compliance
  • Manages labor, costs of goods sold, maintenance and supplies to maximize profitability
  • Performs administrative functions including payroll, sales, labor, inventory reporting and basic accounting
  • Leads community outreach to increase brand visibility and engages in brand-aligned events
  • Coordinates special event participation with local businesses, schools and community organizers
