Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age
  • authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to operate bakery equipment according to guidelines
  • ability to perform basic cake decorating and baking skills
  • possession or ability to obtain food safety certification within 180 days
  • ability to work varied shifts
  • ability to safely lift weights up to 35 pounds regularly and 250 pounds occasionally
  • adherence to safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • 3 to 6 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • English required, Spanish preferred
  • strong customer service skills
  • exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • knowledge of basic math
  • ability to operate bakery equipment like slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns
  • ability to perform basic cake decorating and baking skills
  • proficiency with computer applications used in department operations
  • food safety certification or ability to obtain within 180 days

Job Duties

  • manage daily bakery operations
  • promote and execute compliant operating conditions
  • provide fresh and appealing bakery products
  • deliver courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service
  • execute merchandising plans and monitor product levels
  • supervise, train, and develop team members
  • coach associates to improve performance
  • ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • complete daily and weekly administrative tasks
  • maintain inventory accuracy and inspect product quality
  • utilize production planning tools to reduce shrink
  • enforce food safety and sanitation standards
  • execute product recalls and withdrawals
  • cultivate a culture of safety and compliance
  • report safety risks and illegal activity
  • ensure use of personal protective equipment
  • maintain equipment and report safety hazards
