Job Requirements

  • Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification must be maintained in good standing
  • Availability to work frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces
  • Ability to lift regularly up to 30 pounds occasional heavier lifting with assistance
  • Willingness to work in environments with temperature variations from ovens freezers and refrigerators
  • Understanding of exposure risks to cleaning agents and bakery-related allergens
  • Ability to maintain regular predictable full attendance

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in bakery operations retail or food production
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes and food safety guidelines
  • Ability to analyze data and make process improvements to optimize efficiency
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications including MS Word Excel and Email
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain all training and required certifications

Job Duties

  • Lead bakery department operations maintaining and executing bakery operational standards ensuring efficient production and high-quality prepared foods
  • Manage inventory proactively ensuring proper product availability by monitoring inventory levels and executing timely replenishment
  • Demonstrate full proficiency by executing operational functions of the department including preparing baking and merchandising bakery items to company standards
  • Ensure accurate item labeling making sure all products are priced labeled and comply with company policies
  • Analyze production and sales tracking and analyzing sales waste and shrink data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction
  • Maintain sanitation and safety compliance following all safety regulations cold chain procedures and ServSafe guidelines ensuring bakery equipment maintenance and cleanliness
  • Report operational concerns escalating issues such as equipment malfunctions stock shortages or food safety risks to management as necessary
