Job Requirements

  • Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to lead bakery operations without direct supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong communication and member engagement skills
  • Capability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
  • Regular lifting up to 30 pounds with occasional heavier lifting assistance
  • Exposure to temperature variations and cleaning agents
  • Ability to follow FIFO rotation and sanitation protocols
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to support cross-departmental functions as needed

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years of experience in bakery operations, retail, or food production
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes and food safety guidelines
  • Ability to analyze data and make process improvements
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and Email
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain all training and required certifications

Job Duties

  • Lead bakery department operations
  • Manage inventory proactively
  • Demonstrates full proficiency in bakery production and merchandising
  • Accurate item labeling and compliance
  • Analyze production and sales data
  • Ensure sanitation and safety compliance
  • Report operational concerns
  • Execute proper product rotation
  • Conduct quality and date checks
  • Execute seasonal promotions and merchandising
  • Support club initiatives
  • Conduct routine case inspections
  • Assist with receiving and inspection
  • Support inventory audit efforts
  • Monitor product quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
