Job Requirements
- Six months experience in a bakery production department or six months experience supervising a team
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to complete all required job training and assessments within prescribed time periods if hired

- knowledge of bakery product specifications and production
- ability to lead and train associates
- familiarity with safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
- experience with using digital tools and handheld technology in retail operations
- good communication and collaboration skills
- understanding of member service standards
- preferred bakery decorating skills
- food handler certification
Job Duties
- Supervises the team within the bakery department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating the goals of the department
- executes company programs
- adheres to policies and advocates for the member, associate, and company
- collaborates with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations
- maintains in-depth knowledge of business operations, product specifications, and seasonality
- ensures bakery department meets quality, inventory, equipment usage, production, safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
- shares knowledge and trains the team
- ensures team members are knowledgeable about new products, recipes, and production specifications
- leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate engagement
- uses handheld technology for business decisions related to production, training, and product quality
- ensures operational excellence by maintaining clean, safe work areas
- plans staffing for weekly bakery volumes
- drives consistency in quality, food safety, and company policies
- maintains accurate inventory, audit, and compliance standards
- produces and displays merchandise per plan
- teaches and trains the team by identifying training needs
- encourages career growth
- sources new talent internally and externally
- develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs
- promotes compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity
- leads and participates in teams, providing support and adapting to change
- models and helps others adapt to new challenges
