Job Requirements

  • 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • successful completion of all job-required trainings and assessments within prescribed time period

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months experience in bakery production or supervising a team
  • knowledge of bakery products, production specifications, and safety standards
  • ability to train and develop team members
  • experience utilizing technology in retail operations
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • food handler certification preferred
  • experience in bakery decorating and supervising associates preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises the team within the Bakery department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating goals
  • executing company programs
  • adhering to policies and advocating for members, associates, and the company
  • working collaboratively with other team leaders
  • maintaining in-depth bakery knowledge including product specs and seasonal changes
  • ensuring quality, inventory, equipment usage, production, safety, sanitation, and compliance standards are met
  • sharing knowledge and training the team
  • equipping team members with product and production knowledge
  • leveraging digital tools for sales, shopping experience improvements, and associate engagement
  • making immediate business decisions using handheld technology
  • driving business results through operational excellence and maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work environment
  • planning staffing for bakery volume
  • driving consistency in quality, food safety, and company policies
  • maintaining accurate inventory, audits, and compliance
  • producing and displaying merchandise per plan
  • identifying training needs and developing team skills
  • encouraging career growth and recruiting new talent
  • collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to develop and implement business processes
  • promoting compliance with company policies and ethics
