Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age to work around noisy and hot equipment and afternoon and evening shifts if applicable
  • must be fluent in English as primary or secondary language to effectively communicate with leadership and team members
  • physical ability to lift 50 pounds and operate heavy machinery
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation protocols
  • no criminal record that would affect food safety certification
  • reliable, punctual, and adaptable team player
  • positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0-2 years experience in production or bakery environments
  • basic math skills for measuring and weighing ingredients
  • effective communication skills in English, orally and in writing
  • ability to operate bakery machinery safely
  • attention to detail in following recipes and quality standards
  • willingness to learn and adapt to evolving bakery techniques
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation principles
  • ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues
  • physical capability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately as per formula guidelines
  • operate machinery to mix and knead dough
  • chunk, divide, and shape dough into loaves and buns
  • load and unload ovens and proof boxes maintaining optimal conditions
  • load and unload production line pans, stacking and unstacking as needed
  • dump waste buckets ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • examine baked goods to ensure quality and address defects
  • package finished products to maintain freshness and prevent damage
  • clean and maintain equipment and work areas in compliance with health guidelines
  • adhere to workplace safety protocols and regulatory standards
  • report and address food safety and quality issues following established plans
  • collaborate with team members and fill in for absentees in production or packaging areas
