Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in bakery or retail food service preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Willingness to work evening shifts
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Customer service skills with ability to work effectively with guests and team members
- Oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of retail food service and bakery operations
- Understanding of food safety requirements and ability to apply safety policies
- Ability to lead and guide a team
- Experience in a food-service environment preferred
Job Duties
- Lead and support the Bakery department in the absence of Bakery Manager
- Reinforce Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations to evening associates
- Train and guide new evening Bakery clerks and cleaners
- Provide excellent guest service including assisting with cake and special orders
- Monitor and ensure department standards across sales floor, prep area, cooler, and freezer
- Maintain food safety logs and meet quality and quantity standards
- Handle phone inquiries and help with packaging and labeling
- Ensure regular, timely attendance and support team with other duties as assigned
