Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 plus years of leadership experience
- certified Bakery Expert or equivalent preferred
- completion or commitment to complete H-E-B School of Retail Management training
- food safety certification
- forklift or power jack training
- ability to stand and lift 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting throughout shift
- hand and finger dexterity
- ability to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
- ability to work in cooler, extreme cold, and heat environments
- ability to work extended hours, weekends, and nights
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
Job Qualifications
- Certified Bakery Expert or equivalent
- completion or willingness to complete H-E-B School of Retail Management training
- leadership experience in a retail or bakery setting
- strong communication and organization skills
- ability to supervise and train a high-volume production team
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency with computer systems including MS Office and H-E-B systems
- advanced interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- strong leadership and analytical skills
- planning and organizational skills
- adept at providing constructive feedback
- ability to adapt to change management
- capable of managing multiple priorities and delegating effectively
Job Duties
- Uses independent judgment to make business and employment decisions
- trains School of Retail Management and School of Retail Leadership trainees
- assists and coaches partners in their duties
- holds partners accountable for following SOPs
- prepares work schedules and controls inventory
- prepares production plans and ensures correct quantities are produced
- monitors showcase production and stale tracking
- executes merchandising programs to drive sales
- manages shrink and inventory levels
- maintains high levels of customer service
- ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation policies
- maintains safety and sanitation of department and equipment
