Job Requirements

  • 12+ months retail experience
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • standing and walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling hand use
  • ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • ability to work in temperatures below freezing and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • capability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment like knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

  • thorough product knowledge
  • advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies

  • demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities
  • proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related software

Job Duties

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to Bakery Team Members
  • works with Bakery Trainer to train team members to build and sustain a high-performance team
  • assists in training new team members using checklists and training materials
  • keeps bakery cases and shelves clean, stocked, and properly rotated
  • opens and closes department according to procedures
  • ensures all necessary breaks are given
  • communicates team concerns to leadership
  • sets and achieves high retail execution standards
  • fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale
  • maintains awareness of customer flows and responds promptly to customer needs
  • selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels team members
  • provides timely performance evaluations
  • consistently communicates and models company vision and goals
