Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to conduct visual inspections and read reports
  • Ability to learn product taste, content, perishability, safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work around bakery machinery with heat and cold
  • Ability to forecast sales and inventory needs accurately
  • Ability to frequently bend, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to perform mentally alert duties handling potential hazards
  • Proficiency with office machines such as computers, fax, and copiers

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as a bakery clerk, lead clerk or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Food handlers certification

Job Duties

  • Supervises employees by training, motivating, and monitoring performance
  • Participates in hiring, scheduling, and personnel actions
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment
  • Encourages fast, friendly, and courteous customer service
  • Performs customer relation duties and suggestive selling
  • Meets departmental sales and gross margin objectives
  • Ensures product quality, quantity, and freshness
  • Receives and controls inventory and maintains records
  • Changes promotional displays and arranges seasonal promotions
  • Performs all duties with honesty and integrity
  • Handles miscellaneous tasks as assigned
