Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in baking or a related food preparation role preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and baking procedures
  • Ability to multitask and operate standard bakery equipment
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Able to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Customer service and retail experience desirable

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
  • Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
  • Communicate effectively with management and baking team to fulfill and address any issues or needs
  • Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure proper levels
  • Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
