Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Customer service experience
- Retail experience desirable
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
- Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
- Possess knowledge of basic baked products and standard baking production equipment
- Ability to perform advance baking methods and multitask
- Effectively communicate with management and baking team to fulfill and address any issues or needs
- Conduct inventory regularly to ensure proper levels
- Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Work with various professional bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
- Take food orders in person and by telephone
- Perform all other duties as assigned
