Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Customer service experience
  • Retail experience desirable

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
  • Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
  • Possess knowledge of basic baked products and standard baking production equipment
  • Ability to perform advance baking methods and multitask
  • Effectively communicate with management and baking team to fulfill and address any issues or needs
  • Conduct inventory regularly to ensure proper levels
  • Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • Work with various professional bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
  • Take food orders in person and by telephone
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
