Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Food Handlers Card
  • capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
  • support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
  • possess knowledge of basic baked products such as cakes, breads, cookies, pan dulce, and special order cakes, and standard baking production equipment
  • perform advanced baking methods and multitask efficiently
  • effectively communicate with management and baking team to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
  • conduct inventory regularly to ensure proper stock levels
  • maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
  • work with various professional bakery equipment including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
  • take food orders in person and by telephone
  • perform all other duties as assigned
