Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • valid Food Handlers Card
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
  • prior baking or kitchen experience preferred
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • knowledge of basic baked goods products such as cakes, breads, cookies, pan dulce, and special order cakes
  • ability to follow recipes and baking instructions
  • good communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
  • support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
  • effectively communicate with management and baking team to address any issues or needs
  • conduct inventory regularly to ensure proper levels
  • maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • work with professional bakery equipment including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
  • take food orders in person and by telephone
  • perform all other duties as assigned
