Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Previous experience in baking or food preparation preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Flexibility to perform assigned duties as needed

  • Customer service experience
  • Retail experience
  • Knowledge of baked products including cakes, breads, cookies, pan dulce, and special order cakes
  • Ability to operate standard baking production equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
  • Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
  • Possess knowledge of basic baked products and standard baking production equipment
  • Perform advanced baking methods and multitask effectively
  • Communicate with management and baking team to fulfill requests and address issues
  • Conduct inventory regularly to maintain proper product levels
  • Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, and food safety
  • Stock, fill, face products and ensure pricing accuracy while removing outdated or spoiled items
  • Operate professional bakery equipment including mixers, blenders, and heat sources
  • Take food orders in person and by telephone
  • Perform all other assigned duties
