Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information using ovens and equipment
- use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- package freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, and cakes
- unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations
- decorate special order or case products
- rotate and store bakery products following proper food safety, freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product policies
- generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks when necessary
- clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery
- operate bakery equipment using proper work methods in accordance with safety policies
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
