Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow detailed baking and food handling instructions
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift frequently up to 30 pounds and with assistance for heavier items
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, and stoop as needed
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service-oriented environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods according to product handling instructions
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production charts
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, and cakes
- Decorate special order and case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety and freshness policies
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- Operate bakery equipment safely using proper work methods
- Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
- Provide excellent member service by answering questions, recommending bakery items, and taking special orders
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team and other departments as needed
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance as an essential function of the job
