Job Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake bakery goods following instructions
- Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Ability to work as part of a team and support club policies and procedures
- Must maintain a friendly and positive attitude
- Availability for regular, predictable full attendance
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds and occasionally heavier with assistance
- Willingness to work in varying temperature environments including freezers and ovens
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answers questions and recommends bakery items
- Answers Member calls and takes special orders
- Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling instructions using equipment
- Uses bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- Packages freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Decorates special order or case products
- Rotates and stores bakery products following food safety and freshness guidelines
- Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- Ensures all products meet company quality standards and checks for out-of-date items
- Generates labels and price tickets for bakery goods and performs price check functions
- Cleans and sanitizes bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- Operates bakery equipment safely according to policies
- Maintains club policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned including work in other departments
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
