Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- capability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- effective communication skills
- ability to work in varying temperature environments including freezers and ovens
- willingness to work flexible hours
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- basic math skills to handle price checks and labeling
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answers questions and recommends bakery items
- answers member calls and takes special orders
- proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling instructions using ovens and other equipment
- uses bakery production charts to guide production and display needs
- packages freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts
- decorates special order or case products
- rotates and stores bakery products following food safety and freshness policies
- receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- ensures all products meet company quality standards and checks for out-of-date products
- generates labels and price tickets and performs price checks
- cleans and sanitizes bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- operates bakery equipment using proper safety methods
- maintains all club policies and procedures
- performs other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintains regular, predictable, full attendance
