Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- able to work in a bakery or food handling environment
- able to follow detailed product handling and food safety instructions
- able to operate bakery equipment safely
- able to communicate effectively with members and team members
- physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- able to work in environments with temperature extremes and cleaning agents
- able to maintain predictable, regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answers questions and recommends bakery items
- answers member calls and takes special orders
- proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling instructions using ovens and equipment
- uses bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- packages freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- unpacks bakery goods from freezer and displays proper amounts based on production chart recommendations
- decorates special order or case products
- rotates and stores bakery products following food safety, freshness, and handling procedures
- receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- ensures product freshness and quality standards
- checks for out-of-date products daily and follows salvage and stale product policies
- generates labels and price tickets and performs price checks
- cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, racks, and tables
- operates bakery equipment using safety policies
- maintains all club policies and procedures
- performs other duties including working in other departments as needed
- maintains regular, predictable, full attendance
